It's time for our Tuesday stroll through the Dream Big Designs gallery at ScrapOrchard. One of the things I love about digi-scrapping is all the various techniques and styles you can use to scrap a page. A favorite of mine lately is blocking. Having blocks of photos and blocks of papers layered together. Here's a few fabulous examples.
Check out all the rectangular blocks of photos and papers in this layout called Quad Biking by CaroB71 made with 'Off Road'. The combination of all the papers and textures is so eye catching. And it's easy to follow all the photos. I love how the circular gears and tires add a nice offset to all the rectangles. It's just a beautiful page!
And now look at the mix of squares and rectangles in this page called Lucky's Visit by Isaacsmom made with 'Lucky Day'. I love the matted paper squares and the way she's got them on the diagonal along the left side. The set of three stitching strips really emphasizes the vertical flow to the page. And notice how all the flowers are tucked under the photos and the stars are on top. Fabulous job!
Thank you for sharing your layouts with us today ladies!
