I live near etretat in normandy just by the channel, I love the sea and in particular the starfish maybe is it coming from the sky!

I grew up near the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Some of my favorite creatures are also the ugliest:-) One is the Blue Crab and the other is the Horseshoe Crab. The horshoe crab is prehistoric and they look like they would be nasty when actually their claws are soft and they cannot pinch you (unlike the Blue Crab which hurts!) My childhood memories include placing horseshoe crabs back in the water when they washed up on shore.

I love the glowing deep sea fish - like the angler. The fact that they can produce their own light so far from any light source is so amazing!

ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE your Design Star entry - those doggies are my absolute favourite! As for my favourite sea creature - soooo hard. I adore whales of all sorts and have been fortunate enough to see 4 different species in the wild (fab holidays) but I am also in love with moon jellyfish and weedy/leafy sea dragons (sea horses with finely divided appendages) - they move so serenely and are so relaxing and beautiful. Love snorkeling too and yes the turtles are AMAZING. Ok I suck at picking 1 favourite but thanks for the chance to win LOL
